The aim of the present post-graduate thesis was the analysis and imprinting of the households and the Melekos estate as a whole, which is located in Chios, Kampos, as well as the proposal for conservation and restoration of said estate and buildings it contains. 

At the start of the thesis is a short and precise analysis of the overall history of Chios and Kampos for the purposes of documenting the historical importance of the general location of Kampos, as it concerns the architecture of the island of Chios. What follows is a contemporary analysis of the region in which the estate under study belongs, in order to properly understand the location’s current state. 

Finally, focus is shifted to the Melekos estate which undergoes a complete study in all its facets. The household as well as the gardens are imprinted fully, which allows for proper analysis as it concerns the history and construction of the buildings, present damages on them and the evaluation of its partial architectural characteristics and interventions. 

The analysis of the estate is further accompanied by a complete restoration proposal which arises from the inferences and observations of the previous stages of the study thesis.
