This project serves as a part of the graduate degree examination of Dimitris Melekos, and was presented at the School of Architecture of the Democritus University of Thrace in July of 2020.

The theme of this project was the redevelopment of the northern mole of the port of Chios. The aim of the design process was the continuation of the existing coastal walkway while also reaching an open space of relaxation with an array of new constructions, designed with the purpose of serving both as permanent as well as temporary spaces for commercial and cultural use. Special recognition is given to the ruins of the local Bourtzi Castle, which is in turn protected and conserved.
